The children created their own placemats for lunch The children created their own placemats for lunchtime. They explored the meaning of print by mark-making their names, helping them to recognise that the placemat belonged to them. The children used a variety of resources to decorate their work, expressing their creativity.

The placemats are now used daily at lunchtime. The children confidently find their own name and happily sit down to eat. They are practising important self-care skills, such as using their knife and fork and opening their lunchboxes, as they enjoy lunchtime in Nursery.

The children were loving having a Costa and fruit on their bikes!! We even began to take telephone orders for delivery. We became very expensive deciding on prices in our Drive Thru.
We challenged the children on the bikes after a child suggested 'We need a ramp!'
We built a ramp first, then added a plank and a piece of guttering that was really tricky! You need to drive slowly and keep balanced.
