Barry Primary & Nursery School

Welcome to Year 3.  We are taught by Mrs Fisher, Mrs Fleming and Miss Wright. We are part of the Lower Phase team and this is the last year in the main building. 

In year three, we continue to work on developing the children's independence from the end of key stage one. The children will continue to work on spelling patterns that they have been working on during year one and two. There is a focus on creativity and teaching varied writing styles. Children are encouraged to write at greater length and assess their writing to make improvements. 

In maths, children will work on using three digit numbers, they will continue to use and apply their times table knowledge in preparation for year four. We enjoy going swimming every week and value this as part of our curriculum.
